Since the1980s, the rapid development of technologies has led to the significantincrease of digital information. Therefore, the human life has been irresistibly influenced, such as communication, education, entertainment and so on."High-tech" bringsconvenience to human, but at the mean while they make us at a loss facing these unnaturaldigital products, mostly because the user interface design has not kept up with the productfunction to progress. Many usability problems have occurred while using the "High-tech"products that could affect the user experience. From reviewing the usability testing cases,we can find that the main problems of the human-computer interface design in digitalproducts at present are complexity of operation process and ambiguous expression ofinformation. Those problems not only affect the product's usability and user experience, but also become the obstacle for digital products to improve the quality and marketcompetitiveness. This dissertation explores and investigates the scientific method andprocess in human-computer interface of digital products, and integrates hardware, software, even the user service through interaction design, as well as to design moreprocesses for users to complete tasks and improve the usability of digital products. Hence, creating more pleasant user experience could achieve products competitive advantage andadd brand value.First, based on the characteristics of digital products and trends of human-computerinterface, this dissertation explicates the concept and characteristics of human-computerinterface in digital products. Then, the dissertation analyses corelated design method andprocess. According to the iteration feature of interaction design, combined withergonomics, psychology, semiotics, human-computer interaction and related domainknowledge, this dissertation also discusses human-computer interface design of digitalproducts in four aspects: user research, interactive prototype design, visual design, andusability engineering. Last, a real-world case, the interactive projector, which jointlydeveloped by Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Integration Technology (SIAT),ChineseAcademy of Sciences and Delixin technology Co., LTD, has investigated and analyzed. This case is about the design of human-computer interface for a whiteboard, and aim to improve the usability that could make the product stand out in the similar products toenhance the competitiveness.
