Wireless sensor network can monitor in real-time, percept and gather the informationof all kinds of environments or monitoring objects collaboratively. Data gathering is thebasic function of wireless sensor networks. Because the sensor nodes located near a basestation have to relay data for a large part of the network and thus deplete their batteriesvery quickly. Because the sensor node resource is very limited, so how to prolong the lifeof the network has been a major research problem in this paper.First of all, this paper emphasizes on the anisotropic sensor network with holes, usesspecial structure of the hortest path tree, recognizes the hole boundary and outer boundaryof network, realizes distributed boundary virtual integration using heuristic method, andthrough the boundary node cycle flooding to identify medial axis, designs four trajectoriesthat base station will move along the medial axis between the border and the border, thenodes in the medial axis as convergence nodes to gather data, can reduce the rate of dataloss.Second, this paper analyzes the cluster-based routing algorithms, basing on theLEACH, EDACH protocols, proposes an improved protocol algorithm, convergencenodes in the medial axis as the center nodes, according to the two parameters of the nodeof distance to center nodes and itself residual energy, distributed implements cluster-headelection, this algorithm is called the distributed multipath cluster-head-chain based onenergy and distance algorithm(DMCBED).The algorithm improves the method forselecting the cluster-head,and selects the backup cluster head on demands so as to form amultipath cluster-head-chain.In the end, the algorithms proposed in this paper under MATLAB7.0simulationenvironment, carry out simulation experiments and performance evaluations. Simulationresults demonstrate that the algorithm of trajectories of mobile base station not onlybalances the node workload, but also improves quantity of data transmission; and thisimproved DMCBED algorithm can suitably form clusters, assure the validity of thecluster-head-chain,save energy, improve the life of the network. And then, it is the conclusion of the thesis and the prospect for the future research work.
