Research On Computer Technology Used In Three-dimensional Display

With the development of display technology, people are not satisfied with the normal two-dimensional display which is commonly used all over the world. People want the display technology to go much further, so that it can show more details of the real world by the way of three-dimensional.Compared with two-dimensional display, three-dimensional display can provide viewers a feeling of stereoscopic impression. Three-dimensional display can be widely used in multimedia, education, industrial design, science research, virtual reality and so on.Real three-dimensional display is a kind of display technology that viewers can get the same stereoscopic impression as viewing the real world without wearing any instrument. Real three-dimensional display has a brilliant future, so it is necessary to research on computer technology used in three-dimensional display technology. Based on the study of real three-dimensional display system, this paper focuses on three-dimensional video compression technology and multiple video frame synchronization technology which are related to the three-dimensional display technology.First of all, three-dimensional video compression technology is studied. According to the features of the three-dimensional video and the technologies existed, a cross space-time predict compression coding method is presented, and compared with the existed technologies by experiments in which normal video sequences are used. Finally, in order to guarantee the synchronicity of multiple video display in real three-dimensional system, a multiple video frame synchronization technology based on GPS synchronization clock card is presented, and a distributed multiple video frame synchronization system is designed. And the synchronization performance was verified by test.
