Research And Implement On Home Gateway Based On Embedded Linux

The home gateway becomes the important component of home network. And as a hinge of different network, connects Network Operator or home network. Home gateway becomes the key of network operator develops the integrated information services.The achievement and significance of the research is that home gateway software system based on embedded Linux fulfills the most mandatory requirements defined by HGI and Broadband-forum. These requirements have broad support in network operator, Equipment manufacturers and chip suppliers. For this reason, the home gateway software system contributes to enhance the competitiveness of their products. This paper mainly works as follows:Analysis the requirement documents of HGI and Broadband-forum and summarized the requirement specification of home gateway, including LAN/WAN interface, connectivity, security, QoS, etc.Build the embedded Linux development environment and root file system though research embedded Linux system.Based on the embedded Linux system, design home gateway software system structure and software frame of the system.Implement management interface based on Web and TR069, parameter and task management modules, network connectivity of home gateway, firewall function and QoS function. According to the test result, this paper designed home gateway that based on embedded Linux system meet the requirements of the network operators and home users to the home gateway.
