The Study Of Data Backup And Recovery In Banking System

With the development of banking system, business continuity and disaster recovery are strongly required. As a database administrator, one of the most important things is to choose the best backup and recovery tools to deal with difficult situations.In this paper, firstly we study the EXP/IMP, RMAN and flashback tools, and analyze their characteristics as well. Moreover, the paper investigates the different tools in different situations with comparisons.Furthermore, the question of how to establish the best policy in banking system has been raised in this paper. The incremental backup and compressed backup have also been deeply studied here, which aim to realize the rapid recovery in the event of sudden disaster and reduce the data loss as well.Finally, this paper also studies the flexible methods of different backup tools through several examples to ensure the business continuity and high efficiency in banking system, which meet the requirements of emergency treatments.
