Design And Implementation Of The Security Instant Messaging System For E-Government

With the development of modern information and communication technology, e-government technology has become one of the important means to improve the effi-ciency of government departments.How to improve the efficiency of the government and how to build a unified e-government platform for officials to exchange information con-veniently has become the key consideration. Security instant communication system that integrates instant messaging, streaming media, file transfer and SMS is the indispensable part of the e-government platform, which provides a safe and convenient communication means as well as enhances government efficiency and reduce communication costs.Stemmed from the actual project of an e-government system, we introduce the current situation and development trends of the instant messaging technology. Analyze the prob-lem that should be considered during building the instant messaging system for an e-government system. Combined with the network security and modern cryptography technology, we provide a solution named security instant communication system.The system includes three parts: center server system, short message server system and client system. This paper will introduce the design and implementation of the center server system and the client system. This paper uses hybrid P2P mode between client and server communication, and realizes instant messaging based on XMPP protocol, streaming data transfer based on DirectShow framework, file transfer based on UDP protocol. Based on PKI technology we provide identity authentication, confidentiality, integrity and unde-niable services in file transfer and streaming data transfer between clients. Meanwhile, in order to upgrade the system this paper realizes the software's automatic update module. And in order to prevent illegal copying of the software, we designed and realized the software product authorized module.
