Design And Implementation Of Assistant Management System Server Based On Hardware Firewall

As a comprehensive network security technology, firewall technology is one of the primary methods used to provide network security at present, especially the hardware firewall technology which is the focus being researched by research institutions and enterprises. Because of the special location in network, most of current firewall products contain lots of security and management functions, and the expansion of function usually brings a negative effect to firewall.Based on the hardware firewall, the server of firewall assistant management system is designed and implemented in this thesis. This system runs on the common PC in intranet, it is used to process firewall's logs, manage emails. Furthermore, it realizes the intranet's security and management together with the system's client, then it eases the firewall's burdens and achieves the purpose of improving firewall's performance.During the implementation of the server, the WEB server is designed with the classical Apache+PHP+MySQL structure, and it is used as the interface to exchange data with users. Firewall's log report module is designed with SNMP protocol and it analyzes firewall's logs and provides a visual log report to users. Combining with firewall's packet-filtering technology, email management module is designed. This module is used to manage emails in intranet. Using technology about multithread, IOCP and RSA cryptography, the server of terminal management is designed, it realizes the security management in intranet together with system's client.According to the testing and analyzing results, the functions of system's server are realized in small and medium network, it verifies practicability of this server.
