| The paper, firstly, clarifies the causes of network security problems and the content of network security, proposes the architecture of network security which has been applied to network project. Then on the basis of analyzing the security problems andthe hidden trouble of TCP/IP, it particularly and thoroughly introduces the firewall system on its basic conception, function,techniques, tactics and architecture. In the end, through studying the firewall techniques furthermore and combining the characteristics of the certain military information system, the paper develops a firewall system for a certain military information system LAN including packet filter firewall, HTTP proxy server and control model .
