With the fast development of compute technology and measurement technology, the applications of dynamic three-dimensional measurement technology has become increasing in many industries, such as on-line detection in automation industry, deformation measurements etc. There are two methods for dynamic three-dimensional measurement ,one is 3D reconstruction method from a single image ,The other is 3D reconstruction method from several images. In this paper, the former method has been selected. This paper makes thorough research on 3D reconstruction method from a single image, which is one of the key technologies for 3D dynamic measurement. two methods of 3D reconstruction method from a single image has been proposed:The 3D reconstruction based on digital photography and the 3D reconstruction based on color grating. The content and main work of this paper as follows.1. On the basic of the original static 3D measurement system, a 3D reconstruction method from a single image based on color grating is proposed to solve a key problem of the dynamic measurement. Coding and decoding methods are discussed, the cycle is divided through the definition for the highlights and darkest points, and propose a new method based on camera response analysis to judge the color of the highlights to get phase cycle of all the points, so phase unwrapping is solved, according to the brightness to the relative phases are achieved in every cycle, so all the points of complete phase can be calculated.2. The experiment of this method has been done and can realize to get right phase and 3D reconstruction results for plane and objects which has complex surface. The experiment obtains a satisfactory result which proved the feasibility of this method, and implements a dynamic measurement with off-line data processing.
