The Users' Behavior Research Based On Web Log

The technology of computer, communication and internet is developing day after day, which brings a new platform for the development of electronic commerce. Web data mining, a new and core technology, is a combination of the technology of internet and data mining, which is a necessary step for discovering information. The data mining of web log, which is one of the most important technologies in web data mining, is very useful and helpful in electronic commerce.In recent years, the development of the internet has made the web a global information center. The information on the web such as page information, hyperlink information, and the users'logs offers the users a lot of useful information; meanwhile, it makes the users difficult to get the needed information from the large amount of information. According to this situation, the technology of web data mining has become an important research part for internet investigators. It can analyze the need of the users to some extent, and find the right information for the users. Now, with the rapid development of internet, the technology of the web data mining is going to exert greater influence.This dissertation makes rather deeper research on the technology of web log data mining, on which we based the preprocessing of the Web log data of a college with the help of WebLogExplorer. At the same time, the popular Web log mining software Weka was used in real cases mining according to the preprocessing log data. Some meaningful information, rules, college homepage and users'clustering are drew from the research. These results from the research provide valuable hints to the followings: the web design and maintaining, searching potential users and how to offer special service.
