Research, Zuo Spring And Autumn "

A study of words' exegesis and textual interpretation of ZUOZHUAN was carried out in this paper. The idea of our methods is on the basis of former scholars' achievements, using philological, phonological and exegetical means, through discerning sentences, distinguishing misused words, and analysing ancient grammar to illustrate the meaning of single words, sentences and paragraphs which were doubtful and controversial. In addition, by analysing the materials of alliance-making and swear activities recorded in ZUOZHUAN, linking with the works of ancient and modern scholars, carried out a serious of research on several links of alliance-making and swear system, such as blood-drinking, treaty-reading and holding the cow ears and some related issues.The paper is put together by some small articles which were divided into three parts. The first part is called'Words Explanation Chapter', the second'Context Interpretation Chapter', the third'Studies on Alliance-making and Swear System of Spring and Autumn Period'. But the research on ZUOZHUAN was stopped at XiangGong chapter, so speaking from the content, this paper is an incomplete work that is to be complemented.
