In China's current transportation system, highway and railway take a major proportion. The highway and railway transportation network involves various types and sizes of bridges. Safe operation of these bridges has an important meaning for China's transportation. As the very important infrastructure, the safe use of the bridge is also a significant guarantee for national security. Therefore, real-time monitoring and scientific assessment of the bridge health have great strategic significance. The reliable result not only can evaluate the bridge state of health at the right, but also is significant to manage of the bridge maintenance, to reduce the incidents, and to extent the bridge's use time.Via analyzing the system development situation of the domestic and foreign bridge state, and combining theory development and actual demand, this paper, providing the science theory reference for the bridge maintenance and the management, proposes one kind of bridge monitoring system based on the private cloud computing platform, which has realized the collection and monitoring to the bridge structure security feature parameter and environment parameter, which has established the real-time warning system to the condition of the bridge, and which has further consummated the evaluation system of the bridge long-term security and the durability. As one of the main support technologies of the Internet of Things, the cloud computing technology, enjoying the brilliant and broad prospect, is promoting the advancement of the integration of telecommunications networks, cable TV networks and the Internet and the development of the informationization technology in our country.This article has overall designed the bridge monitoring system based on the Private Cloud Platform, and has completed the design of the bridge evaluation expert system which has carried out in Eucalyptus. It has also provided the friendly visit and the control interface, and has realized the comprehensive evaluation and the long-term assessment of the bridge health. The design of the bridge evaluation expert system includes the design of the gross structure of the bridge evaluation expert system, the establishment of the bridge appraisal indicator system and the realization of every module of the bridge evaluation expert system. Choosing Eucalyptus of the University of California as the Cloud Platform, this project uses Euca2ools to manage the private cloud node, the XML technology to seal data, and the C/S pattern to realize the visit and control to bridge monitoring system. At last, this paper carries on the examination experiment on the Yumenkou Bridge of the Yellow River. The result shows that this system is practicable. The end of this paper has summarized the finished work and made the forecast to the development of the cloud computation technology and the bridge monitor technology in the future.
