Automobile interior parts, including carpers, ceiling, clothes rack, seats and all kinds of pads for sound or heat insulation, are an important part of the automobile. The quality of Automobile interior parts is directly related to the comfortable sensation of the passengers and the overall performance of the automobile. With the rapid development of the modern automobile industry, the production technology of interior parts is an important sign to scale the level of manufacturing of automobile industry and the key factor to affect the quality and performance of automobile interior parts. Recently, however, the production technology of interior parts molding at home is far behind of that abroad and high-end automobile interior parts still almost depend on import. The main reason is that the majority of molding process at home still relies on manpower using simple mechanical devices, which exists a series of problems such as bad on-site operation environment, no-high level of automation, lower production efficiency and so on. As so far, how to improve the level of automatic control of interior parts'molding production line for the sake of achieving the homegrown high-end interior parts is an important issue in manufacturing domestic automobile interior parts. Therefore, in order to attain high efficient and environment-friendly production of automobile interior parts, it is urgent to carry out the research and design of automatic control system of automobile interior parts'molding production line. So, some advanced technologies and theories, like PLC control technology, fieldbus control system technology, monitoring technology, fuzzy control technology, and so forth, are used to explore the automatic control technology of interior parts'molding production line, and then automatic control system of automobile interior parts'molding production line has been designed and developed. The research works are summarized as the following:(1) This paper gives an overview, which lays the theoretical foundation for further research, for the study situation and development trend of reaction injection molding process and industrial automatic control technology including PLC control technology, fieldbus control system technology, monitoring technology and fuzzy control technology.(2) The main composing and production process of interior parts'molding production line are analyzed in this paper. And requirements and design principles are also presented. Combining the industrial automatic control technology, the three-tier control network structure of automatic control system of production line is constructed by using the Profibus-DP fieldbus. Then, the hardware selection and software development platform of control system are expatiated. (3) The configuration of the master and slave station and device hardware of the production line PLC control system is carried out by using STEP7 software. Furthermore, modularize programs of the control system are designed. Aiming at synchronization drive of mould vehicle, fuzzy-PID control algorithm is proposed in this paper, and the simulation model has been established to validate the accuracy of the synchronization control algorithm.(4) By analyzing the function of the production line automatic monitoring system, the automatic monitoring system is designed and developed. Furthermore, communication connections, monitoring interfaces and real-time database are designed in detail.In summary, the research and design works in this paper provide an effective solution for automatic control and environment-friendly production of automobile interior parts molding production line, and laid a theoretical foundation for the expansion of the application of automatic control technology to automobile interior parts'molding production line.
