The phenolic molding compounds because of its excellent heat resistance, tenacity and electrical properties has been widely used in the manufacture of automobile starter commutator. A reasonable choice of the characteristics of the commutator phenolic molding compounds in the post-curing process is great significance to ensure safe operation and extend the life of the automobile starter.For the post-curing process characteristics of automobile starter commutator phenolic molding compounds, and the shortcomings that current manufacturing enterprises use manual control post-curing process. In this thesis, the post-curing control system using AT89S52 single-chip processor as the core is requested, and the Fuzzy-PID intelligent temperature control algorithm is adopted. The oven temperature control is achieved ladder. Through hardware and software design, the automatic control of time and temperature is achieved. It solves problems encountered in the production process of the automobile starter commutator. So it enhances the quality of the product. The main work and achievements of this paper is as follows:1. The post-curing process characteristics of automobile starter commutator phenolic molding compounds are analyzed. For the technical requirements, a step heating approach has been proposed. It can significantly improve the performance of the phenolic molding compounds.2. Describes the temperature detection technology and control technology, using Pt100 temperature sensors to sample the temperature signals. For the shortcomings of the digital PID parameter adjustment difficulties, the Fuzzy-PID control algorithm and implementation of principles of oven power transfer have been proposed.3. The hardware of the post-curing control system based on AT89S52 microcontroller is designed. It includes the overall design of the main control circuit and the detail design of the interface circuit.4. The software of the post-curing control system is designed and the modular design approach is adopted. It includes the main program and subroutine design, and gives the corresponding program flow chart.5. The post-cure control system designed is debugged. It is simulated in the Proteus environments, and then the actual hardware circuit is built. Experimental results achieve the desired control requirements.6. It is to achieve the desired objectives that the post-curing control system of phenolic molding compounds for automobile starter commutator is designed. But there is a certain lack for it, especially in the micro-controller's selection, the temperature control algorithm and the programming language, and so on for further study and enhanced.
