He is one of The Four Masters in shuo wen jie zi. He devoted his whole life to literature career and achieved great success. But so far it is rare to find the comprehensive academic study to GuiFu. His life story is mainly found in the "Epitaph of Guifu" by JiangXiangChi and the portfolio of WengFangGang. More documents than that are hardly found. On the basis of the previous study, this thesis attempts toad more details about Gui Fu.The thesis consists of two parts:the Chronicle/Nianpu and the Appendix. Because the record of his family is very simple, it is merged into the Chronicle part. Gui Fu's life was separated into three phases:Living at home and reading, travel time with friendship moment and official years in Yunnan. GuiFu's life is listed in detail. The Appendix includes the personal profiles and the reference books. The academic achievements of the thesis lie in two parts:First, in literary research, the Chronicle/Nianpum can be a foundation for the research of a writer in poetic writings; secondly, in respect of philology, the thesis involves many Gui Fu's good friends'biography which can help other scholars' research about GuiFu.
