The virtual scene simulation in computer animation is always a challenging subject and hot topic in Computer Graphics. It is widely applied in film special effects, advertisement, computer games, cartoon and other fields, and has a huge development space in the future. The simulation of water, which is an important aspect of the simulation of the natural scenery, is widespread concerned. While compared with other simulation of scenery, the simulation of water flow is more complicated because the flow of water has complexity and irregularities. Large range of lifelike ocean scenery simulation, as a branch of water simulation, is essential in three dimensional games, movie special effect. To achieve an accurate dynamic simulation of ocean scene, not only requires more consideration in realistic rendering and real-time performance, but also needs the comprehensive analysis and optimization model, the sky illumination and the scene of rendering. This dissertation introduces the typical water simulation methods and compares their advantages and disadvantages. On the basis of researching the fluid animations and virtual ocean scene modeling and rendering, A method for the real-time modeling of ocean animation scene is based on Perlin noise superposition and wave particles is presented. The main contents include the sea surface modeling and rendering, special effect simulation of ship navigation, sky and ocean simulation of lighting effect. The major work of this article is as follows:Based on the characteristics of ocean waves research, Firstly, Perlin noises of different frequencies are superimposed to create noise fractal surface. Perlin noise and projected grid technique are used to simulate the ocean surface. When modeling ocean surface, we are using Perlin noise and wave particles to track water wave motion, which offers a fast and simple approach to the special wave effects due to ship motion. To get a more realistic ocean scene, adopts spherical method to simulate the sky. Using GPU accelerated ocean rendering speed. Through the light tracing and Two-dimensional texture look-up table realize the sky and ocean illumination simulation. Finally, generate a complex and more realistic ocean scene. The experimental results show that using this method, a realistic ocean scene can be rendered in real-time and looked more reality. At last, this dissertation gives the summary and analysis for the research work. And then, do further research on virtual ocean scene modeling and rendering and puts forward several ideas and further prospect.
