Telescience is a mode that human can interact with the equipment in a far distance, which extents human's capacity of perception and behavior. Telescience, which has high security and reliability with low cost, has been widely used in various fields. With the continuous development of space technology, telescience mode has been applied in aerospace activities.The problem of delay due to the long-distance is the key issue faced by the telescience system, and a lot of scholars at home and abroad have put forward many methods to reduce the delay in the telescience system. Telescience simulation system plays an important role in the whole system.As the operation mode of the telescience system is different from the traditional control method, telescience simulation system has its unique features compared with other simulation systems. In a simulation system, time management is the key technology which affects the accuracy, repeatability and performance of the system. Therefore, the in-depth study of the time management technology is of great significance.This paper focuses on the time management technology in telescience simulation system. First, the concept and characteristics of the telescience system are introduced and also the role of the telescience simulation system and the theory of time management technology are discussed. Then, telescience simulation system's various operation modes are summarized, new features of time management in different operation modes are analyzed and new time management strategy is proposed, including step backwards, discrete-continuous mixed simulation and so on. Finally, an example shows the implementation of the function of step backwards and the simulation of the unpredictable events adopting the method of step refinement.
