Substation electrical equipment of on-line monitoring is the collection of high voltage, testing, materials, computer and communication as a body comprehensive science and technology, it is also an important component of integrated substation automation technology, as the safety of the electricity system running indispensable monitoring system, it will play more and more important role. The traditional substation electrical equipment monitoring device is mainly based on metal components, due to satisfy insulation requirements, there has a great limit of electrical equipment monitoring device application, temperature, strain, displacement and so on some important equipment operation parameters difficult to realize the continuous monitoring.Aiming at these problems of the electric equipment on-line monitoring, this paper by using optical fiber Bragg grating sensor technology, by using optical fiber grating has not only corrosion resistance, anti-electromagnetism interference, set sensing and transmission in one body, but also has the wavelength separation ability, sensing accuracy and high sensitivity, can accurate positioning, absolute numbers measurement, etc. It can be widely applied to high voltage electrical equipments'temperature, strain, stress such parameters realize real-time, on-line, distributed monitoring, realize monitoring and extraction to the electrical equipments'operation parameters. This paper aiming at the substation cable surface temperature, switchgear contactor temperature, outdoor tower strain and some other important non-electric quantity parameters, through theoretical analysis, laboratory experiments, substation electrical equipment actually install pilot, data remote transmission and analysis, etc. Conduct application research of fiber grating on-line monitoring in substation electric equipment, Formulate wiring and monitoring standards of optical fiber sensor network in the substations.This project has been applied in substation transmission equipment within the long-term and real-time detection, provided effective detection means for substation transmission equipment within safe operation, has a broad market prospect.
