With the rapid development of the railway business,railway vehicle crashes and the large railway maintenance machinery crashes happen occasionally. The corresponding embedded devices are applied and researched,and the safety hidden trouble is solved in the paper.Embedded system is a computer system that based on the specific application.The software and hardware can be cut to meet application requests with the lowest cost,and it is the trend of the development of the computer system.GPS (global positioning satellite) technology positioning accuracy high,all weather,automation and high efficiency,has combined with embedded technology, and are widely used in military and civil orientation navigation field.Wireless transmission medium is the atmosphere, which has the advantages of lower cost,good adaptability and expansibility etc,and has been widely applied in the position changing and cabling difficult situation.The paper is according to the needs of the project after field investigation,discuss and research, and determine to develop an embedded positioning system integrated application of the embedded technology,GPS technology and short-range wireless communication technology etc to realize railway vehicle early warning.The railway vehicle positioning system design based on the C8051F040, which includes both hardware and software.Hardware platform with embedded microcontroller controller C8051F040 as the core,use of RFC-33A wireless data transmission module and GPS module to design and develop the hardware architecture of the system,furthermore,integrated nixietube display, speech and other function modules.The software is application program development based on C8051F040,including the system initialization, GPS data processing,wireless data communication and human-computer interaction.The system has been tested on site.After being tested in the open area,the system has functions as follows:Firstly,Single system can receive GPS signal real-time,analyze GPRMC format from all signals,broadcast and display the machine's position.Secondly,double devices can achieve reliable wireless communication and real-time interactive information.After data processing,they can broadcast and display the distance between vehicles, so as relative speed and other information.Test results show that the system can be applied to navigation for positioning,warnning large railway maintenance machinery anti-collision,engineering machinery vehicle warning and so on, and it can bring better returns.
