With the continuous development of power technology, high-frequency and high power density switching power supply has become the direction of the research and development trends. Transformer is an essential component in switching power supply, and with increasing frequency and power, the size of the transformer becomes smaller and smaller, the power density becomes higher and higher increasing power density, which made the cooling of the transformer harder and harder.For high-power high-frequency high-voltage transformer, the cooling and insulating are together, and the first thought should be insulation, which limits the transformer's cooling methods. Because of the high-frequency and high-voltage, the electromagnetic temperature detection fails, temperature measurement is impossible. This year, with the computational fluid mechanics and its continuous development of commercial software, making use of the computer simulate the coupled flow field and temperature field becomes a reality.In this paper, firstly, introducing some theories, which relate to the thermal simulation of high-frequency transformer systems, like describes the heat transfer mechanism of the transformer system and cooling mode, the transformer and the silicon heap heat theory, FVM's numerical methods, mathematical models, the basic model of turbulence and so on. Then on these principles and theories, using software system to simulate transformer system's flow field and temperature field in three-dimension, getting some results; the temperature distribution of the various parts of the system, the flow field of water and transformer oil; founding the hot spot of the transformer is on the secondary,near to skeleton tremendous, which required to improve the structure. Place the transformer in different ways, the hot spots are significant differences, but the best way is lying. On the different inlet water temperature and velocity, get some useful result. By now, the temperature forecast of the transformer is completed, which provide assistance help for the transformer design.
