With the rapid development of computer network technology, the Internet streaming media application is used more and more in the network, which applies a better development environment for the multicast communication. Multicast is an efficient communication method of network, in which the transmission source can be one or more hosts and send the data from one to multi-receivers. IP multicast hasn't been used widely on the Internet because of some inherent defects, such as rely on the routers entirely and the shortcomings in the transmission technologies, so the Application Layer Multicast technology, whose short mane is ALM, have emerged. The terminal hosts self-organize into a logical overlay network in the application layer, and the data transmission between the host through the traditional unicast technology. Compared with IP multicast, ALM technology in the Internet has the advantages of neither change the traditional unicast transmission model, nor dependent on the specific underlying implementation of the Internet, and which can provide end-host multicast communication for the wide area networks directly, etc., so users can design their own appropriate multicast protocol according to their own needs.However, due to the limitations of realizing the multicast through the methods of end hosts, application layer multicast still has many areas to improve, so how to improve the reliability of the application layer multicast, how to improve the transmission efficiency of the multicast system and so on have become research focus.Based on the analysis mentioned above, and in order to improve the performance of Application Layer Multicast, bus-type model based on comprehensive performance for application layer multicast, whose short name is CPBM, was proposed, and the mainly research content is as follows:1. Hierarchy structure was introduced and realized the management and maintenance of the multicast system;2. Adopt the domain structure of bus-type, which can transfer data simple and fast;3. Introduce the concept of comprehensive performance of the node, and consider the credit of the node, so that the system can evaluate the performance of multicast group members comprehensively and fairly; 4. And also uses the dynamic programming method to adjust the position of the nodes in the multicast group dynamically, which can use the advantage of the nodes with high comprehensive performance to improve the performance of multicast group.Based on the four points mentioned above, CPBM can take the incentives measures to the friendly nodes and the punitive measures to the hostile nodes, so that, to a certain, which can guarantee the security of the multicast environment.Finally, simulation results show that compared with the NICE model, CPBM with higher data delivery ratio and bandwidth utilization, and also, to a certain extent, which improves the performance of the multicast group.
