With the rapid development of Internet technology and the constant enhancement of the ability of user computer terminal, the application of demand is also changing. Network bandwidth and network equipment slower transfer speed lead to unicast transmissioncan not meet people’s needs, And since IP multicast also failed to widespread use on the Internet, and the application layer multicast technology become the main scheme as a substitute. For congestion control, security, scalability and development issues, IP multicast has the certain limitation. However, application layer multicast has certain advantages in order to optimize the above shortcomings, also present some application layer multicast model has been realized.In this paper, based on the existing multicast model analysis, aiming at shortcoming of existing model, put forward a kind of strong self-healing capacity, high transmission efficiency, convenient maintenance, reliable application layer multicast model. The model organizes, manages node members and assigns node member to different levels, At the same time, adopts star-type topology and ring-type topology for model building in each layer of different domain. It aims to solve the problems that Self-healing ability is weak, unable to respond flexibly to network emergencies, node transmission efficiency is not high, low reliability and complex maintenance. The research contents of this paper are as follows:1. Puts forward a reliable application layer multicast model that can effectively overcome some outcomings in the current model.2. Research the dynamic maintaince method of this model and the overall performance ananlysis method of this model.3. The bottom level of the model adopts star topological structures, so that It can manager and maintain easily and can quickly detect the fault information.The model selects the highest performance node of each layer as the center node of star-type topology in first layer and the Leader node of ring-type topology in second layer by a dynamic method and the model tranfers data by an efficient routing algorithm, to solve the disadvantage of low efficiency of transition in the current model. Simulation results show that the model is suitable for the high demand of the situation, It is convenient to maintain and it is very stable, so the model has a very good practical prospects.
