Design For Distance Education System Based On B/S Mode And Research Of The Major Technology

The great development of network and multimedia technology opens up a new field, distance education, for teachers and students. Distance education elimanates doundary of the traditional education. This makes it possible education to be proceeded for different people at any time and places. The construction of distance education aims at improving teaching quality and people's sharing teaching resources, and promoting better communication between teachers and students, thereby arousing students' initiative and their interests on study. Distance education system provides an advanced and stable technology platform for teachers and students, realizes teacher-student synchronization and cultivates students' cooperation competence and team spirit. Therefore, it will become an ideal approach for people's lifelong learning in the future.In order to improve work efficiency and save manpower resources, various colleges and universities manage teaching resources with advanced computer technologies. According to the current teaching situations in our university, we develop this distance education system with some advanced computer technologies in the traditional teaching educational administration management.This paper describes the remote education system construction development, discusses the present situation of distance education development mode and development trends based on B/S structure functions of information system, some key technologies of system development and system design and implementation. This paper can be divided into 8 parts, which are introduction, system review, key technologies introduction, detailed system design, conclusion and future work, acknowledgement, references and appendix.This distance education system is developed with a lot of advanced audio and video compression technologies, such as ASP, database management, ADO and B/S architecture. All these technologies greatly ensure the stability, economic applicability and maintainability. At the same time, these approaches also bring some convenient for the future expansion and modifiability. According to users need, the system is divided into three modules, which are administrator subsystem, teacher subsystem and student subsystem. The first module, administrator subsystem, includes administrator login, student management, teacher management, course management, papers correction, questions and answering management, test paper management and examination paper management. The last module, student subsystem, includes student login, study online, discussion online, resources online and survey voting. On the analysis and design basement, we realize the whole distance education system.Because the system is developed only a short time and is also in on the phase of commissioning, the system's reliability and stability remains to be further improved and amendments. In one word, this system can be used in the distance education and still need to further scrutiny and improvement.
