As Geographical Information System theory and its application in different fields mature, GIS plays more and more important role in PetroChina. PetroChina made an A4 project for the 11th five-year plan, and this project is also named China petroleum geographic Information System platform construction project. At present, this platform is mainly oriented to oilfield ground engineering application, which aims at designing and constructing services for ground engineering facilities, including oilfield ground pipeline, station, tank, measuring room and so on. However, it is still blank that the platform is applied in the oilfield development, Therefore, PetroChina Co sets up a key research project-application integration of oilfield development based on GIS. This subject focuses on how to efficiently realize the integration among various scattered oilfield production applications in GIS, how to express the superiority of GIS when displaying graph in oilfield development applications, and how to achieve the function that oilfield application is visualized in GIS platform, in order that the professional customers in oilfield development can understand and master various subterranean information intuitively.By studying WebGIS and enterprise application integration and combined with need of GIS and oilfield application integration, this thesis adopts metadata and metadata-driven theory and a uniform framework model is proposed, which can integrate all kinds of oil applications in WebGIS. This is a three-level integration framework model, which can able to implement GIS object, oilfield applications and users. A middleware used in distributed oilfield application integration has been designed and completed. In order to support the middleware, a series metadata models are created. Through these meta-data models, the models can describe and efficiently access data and messages during distributed application exchange, ensuring flexibility and expansibility of integration.. Middleware is used to build GIS and oilfield application integration interfaces, ADF is employed to establish WebGIS platform, map boundary algorithm is researched and applied to draw the border of map. Customizing functions is implemented according to customizing technology. According to the framework model mentioned above, the organization combination of oilfield applications that is distributed in oil factories, which is able to complete the integration of oil production management analysis, reservoir performance analysis, and ground production commanding system, map navigation, basic geographic information displaying, topic map and other functions.
