Due to the high incidence of oral diseases and the limited capabilities of public hospitals, plenty of private dental clinics are established. Some of them have expanded into dental clinics chain. The requirement for the information management based on internet is extremely urgent for the dental clinic chain which has many branches distributed in different areas. Therefore, how to use internet information technology to solve the business requirements and problems in the dental clinic chain is the key point in this article.This article designs the management system for the dental clinics chain based on the analysis of the business requirements and the comparison of the management systems used in some dental clinics. The management system researched in this article contains following function modules:Chain Management, Staff Information Management, Employee Scheduling Management, Employee Attendance Management, Patient Information Management, Treatment Reservation Management, Medical Record Management, Patient Charge Management, Data Statistic and Analysis.The modular and layered design method is applied for system design in this article. Through demand analysis, it sets the system demand model and related use case model. According to the two models, this article presents the system processes and the functions framework, and divides the functional modules rationally.Based on layered architecture, this article completes the detailed design for the management system. At the same time, the design for the key features is also described, including the combination of employee scheduling and attendance managements, treatment reservation management with accurate reservation, intelligent reservation cancellation and task reallocation. The design of these key features in the management system not only increases working efficiency, but also improves the patient's treatment experience, and thus makes the business operation much closer to the needs of patients.Through the analysis and research, this article designs an internet-based management system in accordance with the management requirements of dental industry for the dental clinic chain. The management system implements centralized management and comprehensive arrangement of the information resource. It is significant and far-sighted to the intelligent management in this field.
