As the rapid development of WLAN products in office and home environment, the resources of WLAN channel become more and more intense, and the interference between different channels has been a common headache. Considering the above conditions, it has been a hot subject to avoid channel interference and ensure the transmission quality between WLAN products. Studying on putting WLAN technology into vehicle system, this dissertation focuses on the functional improvements of eXtended Range products. Auto Optimal Channel Selection was introduced, which reduces the channel interference in the largest degree, providing a high-speed and stable operation for the wireless devices in vehicle system. Modifying the AP's embedded software algorithms to make it work with an external antenna can efficiently resolve the wireless instability caused by signal attenuation or antenna switching. The above achievements are widely used in the WLAN network. It can provide guidance for the selection and organization of WLAN equipments in passenger terminal and vehicle via the feasible research on technology and on-the-spot testing. WLAN products with built-in vehicle wireless system model and self-developed software realize the automatic updating of vehicle documents ultimately, which makes the video updating in vehicle more convenient, and lower cost at the same time. As a result, it has practical significance to promote this technology.
