With the era of electronic media, visual culture flourished again.Today, we are in a time in which the production, circulation and consumption of image expand everyday. We are in a period in which we never have so many images. Film, television, light boxes, posters, windows, construction, the design of packages, the covers of books and illustrations influence our daily lives. At home, we can get all kinds of pictures and videos through newspapers, television, Internet and other media. in the outdoors, we can see the huge LED screen and paintings hanging in the streets or commercial centers. Various types of images is not only a part of our lives, butalso becoming our lives thenselves. Therefore, some scholars said that we have entered a era of visual culture.Visual culture is a kind of popular culture that has a abroad influence. As a result of that,it became a kind of carrier which is used to promote their ideology by many classes. All classes or strata expand their influence by making visual images. On the other side, we can use ideology to study the Internal factors of visual images, such as paintings,film,television,advertising,magazines,covers,book,illustrations, architectural, packaging and other visual phenomena.This article studies visual culture in the ideological angle. In the introduction, the author introduces the reason of choosing this topic, the innovation and purpose and significance of this writing and other basic informations. Basing on the understanding of this two concepts,the author tried to find the relationship between visual culture and ideology.
