With the development of national economy and industries, the problems of energy consumption and pollutant emissions resulting from it are becoming more and more serious. The Chinese government pays more attention to environmental issues and releases various emission standards. For the thermal power plant, power units improving the combustion efficiency of boiler combustion systems to energy saving, efficiency increasing and emission reduction is urgently needed.The boiler combustion control system is very important for increasing the thermal efficiency of unit system and guaranteeing the unit safe operation in the boiler of the heat-engine plant. However the boiler combustion system has the features of great inertia, large delay, non-linearity and multi-disturbance and can not be built an accurate mathematical model. In addition, with the grid dispatching increasing demand of unit load adaptation, the contradiction between the unit load adaptation capacity and the stability is increasingly prominent.Aiming to the above-mentioned issues, firstly, uses the fuzzy controller as a system master controller and introduces the boiler furnace radiant energy signal which can rapidly reflect the changes in combustion as an intermediate variable to constitute a cascade control system. In addition, in order to optimize the fuzzy controller quantitative factor, scaling factor and integral factor, designs a variable weight synthesizing objective function which is applicable to large inertia object as the fitness function of genetic algorithm to optimize the controller parameters. Finally, analyzes the stability of the fuzzy controller by using the describing function approach and proves the feasibility of the boiler combustion intelligent control system by simulation experiments.In conclusion, the research proves the feasibility of the boiler combustion intelligent control system based on the radiant energy signal and its parameters optimized by multi-objective genetic algorithm. It provides a theoretical basis for the development and application of intelligent control system in thermal power plants in future.
