The time constant of infrared detector reflects the detector's response speed of the physical quantity of infrared radiation.The smaller the time constant,the quicker the speed of the response,whereas the more slowly. The measurement method of time constants of infrared detector studied in this paper is mainly used for the key componet of satellite for attitude measurement and control——the measurement method of time constants of infrared detector based on the wavelength range of 14 to 16.25 micron in the swing scanning infrared earth sensor.This paper studies the measurement method of time constants of infrared detector based on the wavelength range of 14 to 16.25 micron,used frequency response method, and proposed the overall design of time constant measurement system to study the control of the laser light source wavelength,the selection of electro-optic modulator frequency stability laser modulation power supply,the seletion of spectrum analyzer, the design of the broadband amplifier circuit of the hardware and system software.The various components of the system and the related principles of performance analysis and design is focused, and through the theoretical analysis of the accuracy of measurement system,the feasibility of the time constant of the proposed measurement program is verified.
