With the rapid development of the global economy, environmental pollution problems become more and more serious. Therefore, CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System), as an important part of China pollution monitoring network, has attracted more and more attention. Monitoring system is used to manage the pollution emission enterprises mainly through monitoring data from pollution sources, so the reasonable database design can ensure CEMS to perform stably and reliably. At present, existed CEMS monitoring system can't support database management system completely. In view of the situation, this paper dose research into the key techniques of embedded database. Therefore, this project has significant impact on both theory and practice.According to the existed problems of CEMS database, the research includes the following respects:Firstly, the technical requirements and detected methods are analysed in this paper. The paper discusses the components, technical requirements and technical terms of CEMS in detail, and makes deeper studies on the key technical indexes and detected methods. All above makes full preparation for the design and modeling of CEMS database.Secondly, the software modeling about the CEMS embedded database based on UML is described in the paper. This paper elaborates the basic theory of UML, analyses the basic idea and process of software modeling based on UML. Simultaneously, combined with the work done ahead, the paper builds the static model and dynamic model of CEMS database through the methods of UML software modeling. It provides the foundation for the realization of CEMS database.Finally, CEMS database is developed and realized. Based on UML modeling of CEMS database, embedded operate system Windows CE and embedded database SQL Server CE are applied to the CEMS monitor system, then the thesis designs and realizes a program accessing to the CEMS database, and tests the function in experimental development platform. The result proves the effectiveness of the solution.
