As the continuous development of computer network and communication technology, along with the multimedia technology, computer network has now gradually evolved into a varied multimedia information network. Multimedia technology, which based on IP network is the hotspot of current research in communication. Mutimedia technology services based on IP, among which is multimedia conference system, a system enable users geographically dispersed communicate interactively via information flow such as video, sound and text through various networks and multimedia equipments. VPN is currently a hot research on network technology, which aims to improve the flexibility of network operation and management to satisfy users'requirements on transmission security and real-time capability, using tunnel to transfer delicated data via the public network. MPLS VPN combines technology of tunneling and routing in one and has the merit of VPN QoS based on virtual circuit, which makes it an extraordinary flexible and scalable to construct a MPLS VPN network.The thesis makes an intensive study of H.323 mutimedia video conference system, presenting a method via MPLS VPN network to construct the H.323 multimedia communication system in view of the deficiency of QoS and security of traditional video conference. For a better performance of MPLS VPN, QoS policy is designed for corresponding link to match the map over the network. To achieve QoS guarantee in IP based multimedia communication system, this thesis introduces a Diff-Serv Model combined with MPLS VPN, and then proposes an integrated IP Sec solution based on CE routers to secure the transmission of VPN data via the MPLS VPN, and finally addresses the implementation of H.323 multimedia video conference system based on MPLS VPN.
