Electromagnetic Compatibility Of Wlan In The Medical Environment

This paper studies WLAN devices interfere with medical equipment and medical equipment to the interference of WLAN equipment under certain circumstances.In 2005, the company of Cisco implemented a test about wireless local area network for medical device testing of potential interference with the Institute of Hospital Management, the Chinese Hospital Association Information Management Committee and the China-Japan Friendship Hospital Information Centre in the Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital. However, this study only had WLAN equipments to the interference of medical equipments, where the study about medical equipments to the interference of WLAN equipments didn't do. Meanwhile, due to a wide range of medical equipment, the rapid development of WLAN technology and Different specific devices compatible with the WLAN technology, the project still has research value. Cisco also mentioned in its research report:the different specific environments and the distinction between specific devices will be the next step research. Currently, this is the reasons that WLAN implementation have not specific standard.This paper analyzes the basic principles and structure of WLAN, the test program is designed by reference to a variety of materials and test equipment is selected. Then the existence of interference between the WLAN of wireless local area network and medical equipment is the actual test, and test data, results with medical equipment works and requirements of device registration inspection are analyzed. Finally, WLAN EMC conclusions are drawn in the medical environment. By confirmed, Aruba's WLAN is security in the deployment of the medical environment, Wireless LAN equipment do not affect medical equipment.However, the following points during the test to be noticed:1. The WLAN system with the electromagnetic wave detecting management functions are used in the environment using the 802.11 protocol agreements or Blue tooth device. AP can be timed to detect electromagnetic signals of other channels and the intelligent control of electromagnetic waves. It also has a kind of recognition for wireless applications, good coordination of RF management and application support issues.2. Being different from nuclear magnetic resonance, X-ray machine, CT machine and high-power radiation therapy targeting, high radiation devices should be placed shielding outside of 10m or more.3. Microwave apparatus as a source of interference generated considerable interference power and the larger spectral width. However, its broadband interference signal attenuation is very fast in space.WLAN devices can co-exist with it over the interval from 3M.
