The Design And Implementation Of Course Selection Decision Support System Of University

Decision support system is one of the key research areas in information technology, it provided decision support for decision-makers through human-computer interaction process such as collecting data, modeling, analyzing data and producing program. College Course Selection decision support system aimed at digging out a reference data or programs from a large information database of college teaching providing decision support for students'course selection, its application object is a number of students.This paper introduces some technologies related to decision support system such as data warehouse, data mining and association rules. It analysis the demand for course selection decision support system and describes the using diagram of the system. It designs the architecture that based on J2EE platform and shows the system's functions,makes a detailed design of data warehouse and data interface. It introduces the core algorithm--FP-Growth algorithm for querying association rules of embedded system. It takes "Course selection decision support system of NingBo University (Analog version)"for example, describes the process and result of association rule queries, and predict the system's extended function.The system not only can achieve the functions such as log, search and entry. The most importance is to achieve the course selection decision support system functions. It can dig the existing students'course collection data, then generate data sets that have reference value to course selection decision, find associated course such as "computer and Chinese"," law and English ", provide a reference for students'course collection. At the same time, it can extend the system's function,used by teachers and educational administrators to help them analyze the common characteristics of students who collect the same course or same kinds of course, the common characteristics of the course that has a low(high) pass rate.
