Research Of AppWidget System In Android

As the broadband mobile internet operating comprehensively, the open sourced Android smartphone operating system and moblie Widget technology admittedly have been the core technology in the mobile communication field. And the researches focus on the universal, intellegence and ease of use of mobile Widget in the improved Android environmengt.AppWidget was proposed in SDK1.5 of Android, it is a excellent mobile widget solution because of its unique design. This paper focuses on the archtecture of AppWidget. After analysis the principle and mechanism of Android, the AppWidget technology is meticulously studied in accordance with the order from the bottom to top. The Binder mechanism of bottom layer supports the communication between processes and it is also one of the core mechanism to support the running of Android system. The Java layer of AppWidget realizes the function of mobile Widget by the supporting of bottom layer and provides the API of Android system for Widget designers. Based on study, this paper proposed improvement scheme for the limitations of AppWidget .It has extended the running environment AppWidget. The original AppWidget of Android system can be merely used in desktop, but after extension, it can be used in any Application. A universal network operation is proposed which largely enhance the functon of AppWidget. And a new idea for common widget supporting are proposed for fixing the issue of the limited number of widgets that are used in AppWidget of Android.The last is the summary of this paper and the outlook of the next work.
