Optical Coherence Tomography(OCT), featured by high resolution and sensitivity, is a newly emerging imaging technology of optical diagnosis, capable of detecting biological tissue in a non-contact and non-invasive manner. OCT imaging system which is a kind of non-invasive imaging techniques,can use near-infrared light source to measure the human body,thus will not cause harm to the human tissue,and enjoys a tremendous prospect in the field of biomedicine imaging,especially in the eye detection. OCT technology is extremely promising in ophthalmology in that light easily penetrates into human being's eyes which have special structures.Centering on research of fiber OCT-based fundamentals, this thesis designs an OCT system that applies in eye's anterior segment detection. The first chapter describes the overview and applications of the OCT technology currently;the second chapter describes the principle of the time-domain OCT technology and the fast scanning optical delay-line technology, and analyses the detection depth,signal to noise ratio and other key parameters of the system by theoretically, which demonstrates the possibilities of the application of the system used in the anterior segment tomography;the third chapter describes every components of the anterior segment OCT system specifically,involving the light-source module, reference arm module, coupler module,detecting circuit module, data collecting and image processing;the last chapter describes the resolution and signal to noise ratio of the system,and analyzes the reasons of the distortion image of the anterior segment and the method of the image correction,then calculate the thickness of the corneal,the width of the anterior chamber angle and so on.Adopting the broadband light source (SLD) of 1310nm center wavelength, this OCT system is designed which is based on the rapid-scanning optical delay lines phase-modulation,and obtain human anterior segment OCT images by using the self-developed Probe.So it will provide a more accurate tool for measureing the structural information of the human anterior segment quantitatively,and pave the way for the clinical application.
