Modern tourism always has relationship with Authenticity. Tourists go to the other's word, not only for sightseeing, but also for some kind of truth experience. They expect what they have seen is true, and they expect to touch their deep heart via journey. However, what is Authenticity? It is always a controversial issue in anthropology field. Scholars have put forward many ideas, such as Objective Authenticity, Existential Authenticity, Constructive Authenticity, and Postmodernism Authenticity. This essay is a case study of Biasha, taking there chapter titles. Discussing about perception, conformation, and application of Authenticity,The essay can be divided into five parts, the first part is a introduction of academic history of Authenticity. And a presentation of research methods. The second part give a analysis of study object's fundamental situation, reviewing the process of tourism development of Biasha. The third part investigate perception of Authenticity, from standpoint of hosts and guests, This part is supported by author's field wok research, concluding that staged activity do not affect tourist' judgments of Authenticity. Tourists'judgments are on the basis of their expectation and hosts'input degree. Different hosts hold different ideas about Authenticity of tourism of Biasha. Also in this part, author research the situation of citizen participation in the planning process,coming to the conclusion that the level of citizen participation is low and the benefit of them is insufficient. In the third part, author discuss about the conformation of Authenticity and point out the relationship of Biasha's famous process and image. Photographers, scholars, and directors construct the image of Biasha together. And then mass media prompt it to tourists with local government.Tourists visit Biasha with their prejudice. When they back home, they strengthen their impression in travel notes. Image of Biasha is put into effect in tourism development. This can be seen in guide book, landscape layout, and reception facilities. The fifth chapter discuss about Authenticity's application value in tourism development and cultural heritage protection. Author hold the opinion that staged activity won't hurt Authenticity if measures are appropriated. The key point lies in positive participation.The essay's innovative value can be reflected in two points. One is research method. Author combines filed work method with text analysis method. In this essay there are sufficient research materials and multi-angle analysis, the other one is academic point of view. Surrounding by 'Authenticity', author discuss from different angles with interdisciplinary ways, putting forward opinions about perception of Authenticity, conformation of Authenticity, and suggestions of Biasha's cultural heritage and tourism development.
