School-Based Curriculum Development means carrying out the development of curriculum freelyaccording to the idea of school-running and the local community resources and environment, which ismainly concerned with teachers' enthusiasm and the students' development. The school-based curriculumdevelopment is a comprehensive update on curriculum ideas which is beyond of traditional curriculum.Nowadays, as the new curriculum reform of elementary education has gone deep and the three levelcurriculum governing policy has been carried out, attract the attention of more and more educators whocare about the development of school-based curriculum. School-Based Curriculum Development is a hotissue studied in the educational field. School-based curriculum(SBC) is the significant content incurriculum reform of fundamental education, but some problems that need urgent solutions definitely existin it. The present thesis combs and analyzes the problems existing in school-based curriculumdevelopment(SBCD) and puts forward the corresponding suggested solutions on the basis of the research.The thesis including four parts as follows:Part one: Introduction, it clarifies the main problem in the research and highlights the importance ofschool-based curriculum development. Then it also briefly introduces the significance of the thesis andanalysis of relevant literatures.Part two: This section discusses the theoretical basis of school-based curriculum development.Defining the concept of school-based curriculum and school-based curriculum development firstly, thendiscussing the background and purpose of school-based curriculum development.Part three: This part analysis the main problems in school-based curriculum development process from five aspects. Trying to get a relatively overall understanding.Part four: Corresponding solutions are focused on the problems in the school-based curriculumdevelopment process. This is the last question to be answered in this thesis. It is also the focus of the thesis.First of all, for the policies, systems, theory of practice, the feasibility of measures are proposed.Secondly, evaluation body, evaluation methods, evaluation of the timeliness help to establish amulti-evaluation mechanism. Again, by enhancing the awareness of the subject of curriculumdevelopment,expanding Curriculum Resources in the implementation of space, combining with culturalresources and the environment, to build and improve school-based curriculum resource developmentsystem. Finally, proposed appropriate strategies to improve the level of school-based curriculumdevelopment from the subject of the curriculum resource development.
