Study On The Independent College Students' Political Participation

Political democratization is the basic goal of China's political modernization, political participation by ordinary citizens to exercise their political rights and obligations towards democratic politics in China has been becomes an important symbol. The political identity and political consciousness of the participation level of the youth relate to the consolidation of the Party's ruling status and also relate to the stability and prosperity of the nation. College students in China are the young people's ideological pioneer and backbone, which is the youth foundation that Party most dependent on. With the deepening reform of the education system, independent colleges gradually board the social arena, and independent college students gradually become an important part of contemporary college students. Independent college students'awareness and ability of participating political activities begin to make great sense for democracy construction in our nation.In this paper, survey methods are used to,taking Zijin College as the study targets, understand the main problems in-depth that exist in political participation:weak political theory basic, and students can't make full use of commanded theoretical knowledge to analyze its authenticity and political scientifically. When political participation tend to show the utilitarian, which leads to the emergence of the break of political participation theory and reality, hinder the process of China's socialist democratic moving orderly towards to the positive direction. While in the high-level political election, the enthusiasm of participating political elections is relatively low.According to the current situation of Zijin College Students'political participation,and to put forward reasonable suggestions and strategies by analyzing the factors;further strengthen the ideological and political independence of college education; to create positively a favorable political and cultural campus environment; to make students as a carrier and make the practice as the channel, carrying out various social activities to enhance the ideological and political consciousness of students, to achieve the unity of knowledge and action; Give full play to the guiding role of the student caucus organization to promote a good atmosphere for the formation of School. The study of College students' political participation provides a reliable reference value for the depth improve of independent colleges' ideological and political education.
