| The College entrance examination system and its reform are the hot topic in China's current field of social life and educational practice. Since the founding of new China, our country established the relatively single property right of higher education as the national colleges of the main body, as well as the enrollment planning system built in the planned economy era. And this made the college entrance examination right basically is owned by the state and concentrated exercise, so this is the basic properties and the fundamental characteristics of China's college entrance examination system. After China's Reform and Opening-up, our country was adhere to the previous unified college entrance examination system, and reformed the mode of the system which made the surface and the peripheral of the system changed obviously. But the essence of the enrollment system had not changed, and this became the start and direction of the college entrance examination system in new era. The enrollment system reform included the enrollment plan and its form, admission standards and methods, the enrollment autonomy and other problems. But the enrollment system reform fundamentally restricted by enrollment planning system and the concentrated enrollment right, and this is the emphasis and difficulty of the further reform. The strategic positioning of the current system is to persist in the unified framework of college entrance examination system and reform step by step around the right of the concentrated and unified college entrance examination. The key of reform is strengthening the rule of law and democratic environment of college entrance examination power basis and the basis of the modern university system for the development and transformation of the college entrance examination system. Finally our country will establish the modern college entrance examination system with Chinese characteristics, which adapt to China's economic and social development. At present our country should explore the basic path of the college entrance examination system reform as follows:Firstly it should adjust the regulation scope and method of the enrollment planning system, to optimize the internal structure and the overall function of the system. Secondly it should moderately separate and connect the examination right and the enrollment right, to improve the standardization degree and operation performance of the system. Thirdly it should continue to adjust and optimize the mode of college entrance examination, to improve the flexibility and adaptability of the system. Finally it should optimize and dispose the peripheral system, to strengthen coordination and sustainability of the system. |
