But which teaching methods can do better in teaching the geography rules, the outline maps or the Multimedia Computer Assisted Instruction? This article does some research on it from some aspects and some conclusions are drawn. This article takes"the contrast research on the teaching effects about the outline maps and the Multimedia Computer Assisted Instruction in the geography rules"as a topic. The research method of this article is:The geography laws are divided into the following groups:Distributing Rules; Evolution Rules; Association Rules.By comparison, we can use the outline maps and the Multimedia Computer Assisted Instruction , analyze the teaching effects and compare the results. But it possibly does not involve all the results in the experiments. It is limited. It can provide certain references for the high school geography teachers in the explanation about the geography rules. The research conclusion of this article is:Though they play an important part in geography teaching, outline maps may not be made full and reasonable use of. It makes no difference between outline maps and the Computer Assisted Instruction about geography laws, such as, distributing rules. The Multimedia Computer Assisted Instruction is better than outline maps in teaching the evolution rules. Therefore, if we can combine the above two methods about different geography laws, it is a better and effective method.
