American scholar Mr. Cooley, who considered the family education as the junior colony of child socialization, and he regarded that the childhood is an important section of the individual socialization,but the family is the"humanistic nursery", as well as the first class of individual socialization. The family, which as the primary social group, playing a main significance on training of the basic skill for life, transferring the social norm, cultivating moral sentiment, acquiring personal idea for the child. The family is the cradle of life, which could ensure the child's safety, and it is also the harbor for child to feel the life, enjoying loving and being loved. Parents are the initiate teachers of the child, and the reflection of education from parents permeates the whole life of one person. As the scholars sayings that the way of act,personality, and mental healthy level of the people are all caused by the reciprocity of personal inner quality, acquired environment and education. Especially for the family surroundings and education are more important. However, during special period, particular relationship and education of family were brought up. Due to the increasing divorce rate, there are more and more single parent households; as people knew a lot about the reform and opening-up, and the arriving of market economy, many rural labors burst into cities for works, leaving their children at hometowns. This resulted in lots of rural children stay home without parents, and observed by forefathers or other relatives, so these children were called unattended children. The deficiency of family education brought indelible effect on the study, life, mental of the children.Such special group needs love concerning from us. Only if the unattended children get well-balanced,right education and let them grow up happily and healthily as coeval can the social more harmonious. Then what problems for the family environment and education of the unattended children? Which aspect should we bend on handling? That is the researching direction for the scholars who care about this group.The family education for the unattended children is a complicated project, and it is not the course to take stop-gap measures, but the problem attended by the civil, not only the policies of country, but also the education methods of each family. This thesis research the deficiency of family education of the unattended children by external cause that is the basic situation of the unattended children of many towns, the unattended children in the eyes of teachers, the parent-offspring of parents who work out of home and the parent job occupation effect the unattended children, also with internal cause of five ways of guarding (forefathers,single parent,peers,relatives and fluid simplify). Providing solutions aim at above questions.
