Investigation And Research On Senior High School Student Dormitory Management

With the expansion of university enrollment in1999, there is a boom in the number of high school students, especially the number of boarding students. Thus, in senior high schools, the student's dormitory management is greatly valued. As a special place for students, the dormitory and its management will play a vital role in students' physical and mental health as well as the improvement of their academic performance. Meanwhile, the study of the student dormitory management in senior high schools can improve its effectiveness, help students accumulate practical experience, and promote students to grow healthily.Taking Jiangyin No.2 Middle School as an example, the author carries out the investigation and research on the senior high school student dormitory management. The paper gives a brief introduction of the school's dormitory management situation, and offers some questionnaire surveys conducted among students, together with some interviews about the teachers and students in the school. Based on the statistics and case analysis, the paper puts forward some relevant problems and undertakes reflection to them. On that basis, the author discusses some effective and practical measures in managing student dormitory in senior high schools. The article is divided into five parts:Part 1: A foreword. The statement of the origin, literature review related to the problems, the definitions, the ideas and methods of the research.Part 2: The theoretical foundation of the dormitory management. Through the statement of the maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, three phase theory of Kelman, and Drucker's target management theory, independent management theory, the paper provides theoretical foundation for problems occurred in high school student dormitory management.Part 3: Senior high school students' dormitory management status of Jiangyin No.2 Middle School. With the description of the situation, the hardware, the organization structure and the relevant system aspects, the paper outlines the condition of the dormitory management of Jiangyin No.2 Middle School students.Part 4: Investigation design and process about present dormitory management situation of Jiangyin No. 2 Middle School. The paper introduces the investigation and the survey methods applied in the research, questionnaire survey as the main research method. What's more, it gives statistics, analysis according to the questionnaire .Part 5: Senior high school student dormitory management problems and countermeasure analysis. From the angles of the system construction, the students' independent management, and dormitory administrator, school management, the paper puts forward the existing problems, and gives the corresponding countermeasures based on the problems.
