With the rapid development of science and technology and social progress with each passing day, education is also undergoing profound changes. Chinese teaching aims and demands are changing with the times. Since the new curriculum reform, the cultivation of students' thinking ability seriously improved. It is generally believed that: in order to improve the students' Chinese accomplishment, it is necessary to develop students' thinking ability and the quality of the students thinking. Chinese teaching should cultivate the image thinking, and the biggest characteristic of poetry is image thinking. Therefore, in high school poetry teaching, it is necessary for us to use image thinking theory into teaching.This article investigated on the current problems in high school poetry teaching, Focusing on the image thinking in poetry teaching.The paper is divided into following parts:Part one: borrows the characteristics of high school students, discusses the problems of Chinese poetry teaching, illustrates the necessity of cultivate the Imaginary Thinking in the Chinese poetry teaching in high school.Part two: practice of the appreciation of poetry teaching in high school to cultivate the image of thinking ability. These practices is committed to providing a platform for the students to learn study on their own, and to develop there imaginary thinking ability.Part three: due to the fact that multimedia means be used in the Chinese poetry teaching in high school, it talks about the advantage and disadvantage of using multimedia means.
