Teachers and students are conducted educational campaigns basing on textbook. All kinds of knowledge,skill and values which students are expected to acquire by society are concentrated in the textbook. As far as its social essence,textbook is the intermediary agent of social control.The researcher chose the representative textbooks and made the analytical scale according to the relative literature and the goals. Then,the researcher analyzed the content of ideological education,social role presented and cultural element in the textbooks to find out the obvious and hidden value by the methods of content analysis and comparative analysis.Four conclusions have been drawn. Firstly,the values from math textbooks are recognized by the country. Secondly,the content of moral education about individual and nature coincides with the value that nature should be loved and protected nowadays. The content of ideological education about individual and society has certain stability and changeability. Thirdly,social role presented has certain selectivity and gender tendency. At last,to a certain degree,the textbooks has multicultural tendency,but the content is restrictive. This research believes that the country controls the value in the textbooks for ensuring individual socialization effectively run and the changes of the value orientation of the textbooks have a close relation with the social changes.
