With the rapid development of science and technology in the world, the development of science and technology brings a series of social issues. The western countries are paying attention to the relationship between science, technology and social .So the STS education arises at the historic moment. Chinese science education behind the development of technology obviously,so China also begins to do the STS education. The characteristics of biology determine the advantages of biological STS education. But in backward countryside, there are great shortages in the countryside junior middle school biological STS teaching. As the key to teaching, teachers play a crucial role; the teachers'STS conceptions of teaching affect the quality of STS education.This article stands for the investigation of teaching the countryside junior middle school biology teacher, analyzed the formation reasons of countryside junior middle school biology teachers'STS teaching conceptions and countryside junior middle school biology teachers'STS teaching status. Then I will make some suggestions for the transformation of the teachers'teaching conceptions.There are five parts of this paper:The first part mainly expounds the background of STS education, the contents, characteristics and connotations of STS education, then put forward the developing situation of STS education of domestic and foreign country.The second part of the paper from the actual condition of our country: the needs of the new curriculum reform in China to discuss in the rural middle schools STS biological teaching in an important role. Also discussed STS education is feasible from macroscopic aspect of education in rural middle schools.The third part of the paper introduces the conception of teaching .I used questionnaire and interview method in this process. Then I sort and analyze the questionnaires, analyzes the countryside junior middle school teachers'interview problem of the STS education:the teacher ignore the STS education, the teachers pay attention to teaching materials for teaching, the influence of examination-oriented education. Analyzes the influence factors of biology teachers'STS teaching conceptions:teachers' age structure aging, teachers didn't teach their own major, backward ways of evaluation;the influence of the rural environment, rural school ignored STS education. The fourth part mainly offer suggestions for biology teacher in the countryside junior middle school: explicit STS teaching aim, face reasonable factor, strengthen their own literacy, optimize the teaching environment and even mining internal factors.
