Belief In "Feng Shui",local Coincident Knowledge And"culture Network In Chinese Rural Grassroots Governance"

This is an empirical research thesis. It focuses on the actuality and current of contemporary Chinese rural grassroots governance. By analyzing the event that the villagers have held back the public electric project's construction, we discuss the nature of"Fengshui"conception in the village and the rebounding of"Fengshui"having reflected the transitional situation of Chinese rural grassroots governance on the base, the governance about"Fengshui"in history, the culture network in Chinese rural grassroots governance. Then the role of culture network in Chinese rural grassroots governance opened out before us, while we meditate the effect of state-making in the new stage and the kickback because of ignoring the role of culture network in Chinese rural grassroots governance.The author collects the empirical materials from Xin county in Henan province, while the author used the correlative research materials in Fujian province as the secondhand information. To understand and know the mechanism of Chinese rural grassroots governance, not only coming from the empirical materials which the author have investigated himself, but also benefits from the academic tradition and the ceaseless academic production's accumulating of Chinese rural region's study. Beside the development and inheriting of central China research's tradition. Based on the knowledge of different regional rural governance pattern, by ascending the governance instance in the history of the village and digging the excellent experience about rural governance before the scot reform and during the period of collectivize, the adumbration of culture network in Chinese rural grassroots governance opened out stage by stage, and we also ascended the role's change of culture network in Chinese rural grassroots governance and the situation's variance of contemporary rural governance.The analytical concept"culture network in Chinese rural grassroots governance"is based on the concept"culture network of power"which have been advanced by Prasenjit Duara. On this base, state-making can be advanced continually; and with the help of it, the new state would not be involute.
