| The concept of hidden curriculum resources originated from the combination of hidden curriculum and curriculum resources as they developed. Then we define it universally as educational factor which accompanies the formal teaching activities but acts on the hidden curriculum unpredictably and subtly. Those hidden educational factors comprise attitudes and behaviors, value, culture and environment, etc.With the development of Basic Education Reform and English Curriculum Reform in China,"Program on Curriculum Reform of Basic Education"and"English Curriculum Standards of Senior School"in 2003 have pointed out that we should diversify channels of teaching and studying by exploiting and utilizing various possible curriculum resources, especially those hidden ones that do not need any money while used by both teachers and students.And aslo,fettered by such factors as economy and environment, most rural middle school are faced with much difficulties in exploiting resources. So it is better and available to utilize those hidden curriculum resources, which do not cost money, labor and natural condition, to solve the difficulties.After the analysis of the current teaching conditions and the survey of hidden curriculum resources in rural middle school,based on the curriculum theories and other related theories of teaching in middle schools, the applicable and available exploiting methods were put forward. Those were the main points of the thesis but not the end of it. At last the thesis conclusively elaborated its limitations, problems and enlightenment on teaching of rural middle school, in the hope of giving the least help to improve the quality of English education in rural middle school. |
