Postmodern Feminism Epistemology

With the development of western women campaign, the feminism theory is on the process of being mature and complete, not only limited with the attention for gender discrimination and women condition concern, but also a brand new insight into the whole western culture. The combination of feminism and post-modernism opens a unique cultural perspective of special gender attention. Post-modernism feminists criticize the mainstream acknowledgement deeply from different aspects, disclose the male-dominance prejudice, and further facilitate the recognition for post-modernism feminism' theory.This paper will first briefly analyze the background for the post-feminism introduction, and based on that, will continue to look for the real social experience and the corresponding theoretical reference, pointing out that the encounter between post-modernism and feminism provides a new opportunity and possibility for feminism theory, namely as post-feminism. Then, I will further illustrate the definition post-feminism epistemology, elaborate the relevant literatures, discuss the de-facto attitude towards post-feminism from the gender and realism point of view, and provide a theoretical analysis of how post-feminism goes from theory into practice. Last but not the least, this paper makes an objective judgment for the post-feminism theory, pointing out the advantage and shortcomings, making constructive suggestions for the further development and accomplishment.I think post-feminism is going through new opportunity and challenges. If this post-modernism direction transfer expands feminism from the exclusivities of white women only, then this marginal, diverse inclusion will make feminism collapse. Therefore, if post-feminists want to achieve their own political goals, to insist their feminism-stands, they have to withstand challenges both from modernism and post-modernism, to explore a healthy,scientific and new perspective into science and knowledge examination.
