A Study Of Population Migration On The Perspective Of Social Relation Network

This thesis mainly uses social relation network's correlation theories,combined with the empirical analysis method,makes the research to the social relation network of population migrationhoped that through such research,we can have an explicit understanding to the social relation of population migration and its function mechanism,thus provides certain practice support for the population migration.Since the 1980s,the western new economic sociology's theory has been introduced to China,and received wide attention from scholars in the field of sociology,began to use a number of social network theories and research methods to study the social phenomena,and the research to the problem of population migration has become a hot area,too.In recent years,as our country's rapid social and economic development,population migration has shown a strong development trend.As the inevitable requirements of the socialist market economy's development,population migration has already become a significant practical problem in the historical stage of our country's population change,accelerated urbanization and socio-economic transformation, it is and will continue to have a profound impact to the economic development and social integration.At present,our country is in the social-economy transition period,many of the new system is not perfect,and modern institutional factors can not bring each kind of information and resources for the people.In this society which information is not completely symmetrical,how does the migrants gain the related informations and realize the migration.At this time,as informal resources,the social relation factor substitutes the institutional factors in the population migration to play an important role,and becomes the important way to gain the resources and the support.Then,on the Chinese culture and social economy reforming background condition,what is the role of traditional social relation,and for the migrants who have different population attributions,its functions are what different,these questions are all needed to clear.Therefore,it appears very practical and necessary to analyse the population migration through the perspective of social relation network.Many domestic and foreign scholars have done some research and annlysis to the population migration,and it has formed a series of theories and the practical achievement.This paper bases on the research,descripts and analyses the function mechanism of social relation network in the population migration.The paper attempts from the view-point of social relation network,takes the population migration as the main object,through the analysis of the social relation network characteristic and the construction process to the migration of population,explaining how the social relation network becomes a resourse in the process of population migration,so as to seek the function mechanism of social relation network which displays in the migration process,find the reasons that migrants rely on social relation,and further attempts to propose some relevant measures for the construction of social relation in order to ensure the migration can integrate well to the new environment. With these questions and purpose,the paper use literature research to gain the indirect informations,through the case study to know the migrants may face difficulties and the path to get help,the views between social relation and migration.Then it uses the method of empirical analysis and inductive analysis to do the description and analysis,obtaining the related conclusions.Through the investigation and analysis,we understand that social relation network on the analysis of the role in population migration has an important explanation power.The social relation network takes a popular sociological research orientation,has the important influence to the population migration's process.In the analysis process,we also realize that the utilization of social relation as well as the degree to the different migrations is also different.The migrations of low education level are more likely to use the primary relationship,and the using of relationship in different gender and age groups also have some differences.Then we analyze the relation network's function mechanism which displays in the population migration process.The social relation network is possible to supply some informations for the migrants,reduce the risk and expense,provide various supports and helps,and it is an important way for the population migration.In the short, the accumulation and the promotion of social relation network can promote the population migration.And this paper also analyzes the case that people use relation network to realize the migration.The results show that the traditional culture,the lack of trust.the imperfect of institutional arrangements and so on are the main reasons.Finally,by this kind of understanding,we think that if we want to promote the population migration,we must take some measures on the self-construction of social relation network and the improvement of institution.And it also provides certain instruction for the practice.Therefore,all of the research results should fall on the objective to promote migration.
