The Research On Social Relation Network In Zhongmadi Village

How significant is the village relation network to the local community and what kind of significance and function does it have? This is a very meaningful topic. Through the investigation and analyses on the social relation network in Zhongmadi village, the author found out: the village social relation network has special significance and function and becomes the third way of social resource deploying ,and it is an important way for the members of the relation network to obtain social support, it functions uninterchangeably in respect of financial support, cooperation in production, emotional backup, dispute resolving, social security, the political operation and individuals' development etc. In Zhongmadi village, different levels of social relation network have been developed due to difference in closeness of relation among the members, and social resources of different quality and quantity have been developed from different relation network. On the background of market economic development, the social relation network of this village has been involved with the economic factors that are becoming gradually the most important force to direct the development of relation network. It is clear that the existence of the social relation network has promoted the social and economic development of the village—it really has produced some positive effects. While analyzing the positive effects, the author also has identified some negative effects of the social relation network and analyzed them.As a way of social resource deployment, the social relation network is an important factor that can't be neglected during the transitional phase in Zhongmadi village. The drastic change of the society has weakened the way of social resource deployment through public administrative process; but the method of exchanging through market to realize social resource deployment hasn't yet been established completely. Here exists a system 'vacuum', thus the social relation network becomes the basic form for establishing and keeping the faithful relation, as well as the form for exchanging and seeking support. Undoubtedly this kind of gradual social development will last a long time, therefore both the specialty of the traditional culture and the realistic need during the transitional phase make the social relation play an important role in Zhongmadi village.In order to make the social relation network function positively, the author suggests that: (1) while reserving the quantity of the traditional society relation network, establish the modern social relation network. (2) construct new regulations to increase the quantity of the social relational network. (3) promote the sense of the social relation network.(4) emphasize the government intervention and encourage to establish all kinds of dialogued network and communicating places.
